Diaper cakes, baby sock roses and washcloth cupcakes are all creative ways to turn common baby items every new mother needs into creative gift presentations. Washcloth cupcakes are made with the tiny washcloths used for newborns rolled to look like a little cupcake. With pom-poms or confetti sprinkles, you have a delicious-looking, but completely sugar and fat free cupcake.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay one baby washcloth out on a flat surface. Fold the washcloth in half and then in half again, creating a long, flat tube shape.

    • 2

Roll the washcloth in a similar fashion to a cinnamon roll. Place a small piece of double-sided tape between the end of the washcloth and the roll to hold the washcloth in place.

    • 3

Gently pull the inside of the washcloth roll up from the center to create a raised and layered cupcake look. Do not pull too hard or you will pull out the roll completely.

    • 4

Place the washcloth cupcake into a paper, foil or plastic cupcake cup. To add the appearance of a cherry on top, take a small pom-pom and a small piece of double-sided sticky tape and attach it to the top of the washcloth. Sprinkle baby-themed confetti over the top of the washcloth to resemble candy sprinkles.
