Diaper Wreath With Styrofoam
A diaper wreath does double duty as an attractive shower decoration and a practical gift the soon-to-be-parents will appreciate. Many wreaths are made with size one or two diapers for newborns, but if you use larger diapers, the wreath can also be a nice nursery decoration until needed. Decorate the wreath with a girl or boy theme if the sex of the baby is known, include the baby's name or create a neutral baby wreath for those "surprise" babies.
Things You'll Need
- Styrofoam wreath
- 16 diapers
- Curling ribbon
- 8 different baby items, like pacifier, bottle, socks or toys
- Cloth ribbon

1
Wrap diapers around the entire wreath. Open a diaper, keeping the tabs flat and unopened. Place it around the wreath with the top front of the diaper facing out. Tie curling ribbon tightly around the top of the diaper where it meets the wreath to secure it. Curl the ribbon as you tie each diaper to the wreath.

2
Continue wrapping diapers until the wreath is completely covered. Push them together if necessary. If you run out of diapers, place baby washcloths between the diapers as fillers.

3
Use curling ribbon to tie items to the wreath. Choose items related to a theme, like boy, girl or bath time, or items of one particular color. Try to balance items on the wreath as much as possible by placing items across from each other. Place one item on every other diaper for a 16-diaper wreath.

4
Add a focal point at the top center of the wreath. A large cloth ribbon, plush baby toy, stuffed animal, baby bottle or rattle works well.
-
5
Finish by adding ribbon or flowers as needed to give the wreath a full, finished look.

Tips & Warnings
Overlap the edges of the diapers instead of pushing them together for a "swirled" effect.
