DIY Tulle Gift Bow
When it comes to gifts, the wrap and presentation can be as important as the gift inside. You can add a handmade touch to any present by topping it with a big, beautiful tulle bow. The fact that these glamorous bows can be assembled in just a few minutes and cost only pennies can be your little secret. Add tulle gift bows to gift bags and wrapped packages or tie them around vases or baskets to dress up a flower arrangement.
Instructions

-
1
Measure around the center of the gift package with the measuring tape.
-
2
Unroll and cut a length of tulle that is twice as long as the measured length of the package. Repeat five times, so you have six equal strips of tulle.
-
-
3
Lay the six strips of tulle directly on top of each other in a stack.
-
4
Place the gift package centered on top of the stack of tulle strips.
-
5
Wrap the ends of the tulle stack around the center of the gift, holding all six layers together in each hand, and tie the ends into an ordinary bow. The bow will have a loop and a tail on both sides of the center knot, just like a bow would look when you tie your shoelaces.
-
6
Cut the loop on the left side of the center knot open by inserting the bottom blade of the scissors inside the loop of tulle and cutting along the fold of the loop. Repeat for the loop on the right side of the center knot. The tulle should now fan out in a triangular shape from both sides of the center knot and look like a bow tie. There should no longer be any loops in the bow.
-
7
Use the scissors to trim the tulle edges evenly so there are no stray segments of tulle that stick out farther than the rest.
-
8
Separate each of the layers of tulle by pulling it up and toward the center of the package. When finished separating the tulle layers, the bow should look like a fluffy pom-pom.
