How to Redirect a Blue Host Domain to Office Live

Office Live domains don't begin with the common 'www.'

Domain redirects are easy to implement through Web hosting companies like Blue Host. To redirect a domain is to point the same domain URL to a different website. Microsoft Office Live for Small Business automatically assigns a domain when you sign up, so you'll receive the domain of "http://yourname.Web.officelive.com." After logging in to your Blue Host cPanel, you can go to the "Redirects" section and put in the new domain.

Instructions

1. Open a Web browser. Go to the Blue Host website at bluehost.com. Click the blue "Control Panel Login" button.

2. Type your current domain and password in the "Account Manager Login" page. Click the gray "LOGIN" button.

3. Scroll down to "Domains" in the cPanel. Click "Redirects" to go to the "Add Redirects" page. Select the "Type" of redirect from the drop-down menu: permanent or temporary.

4. Next to "http://(www.)?" select the original domain from the drop-down menu. Type the Office Live domain of "http://yourname.Web.officelive.com" in the "redirects to" box.

5. Click the button next to "Redirect with or without www." Click the blue "Add" button. The original domain will redirect to the Office Live domain.
