Instructions

  1. Washcloth Roses

    • 1

Remove the flowers from the single bunch of silk flowers to expose the stems.

    • 2

Smooth out one baby washcloth on your work table and fold it in half. Fold it in half again lengthwise and pull gently on one end to make the fold on a slight angle. The tip that protrudes from one end because of the angle is the center tip of the rosebud.

    • 3

Roll up the folded washcloth, beginning at the center tip of the rosebud. Roll tightly for a closed rosebud or roll a little bit more loosely for a rose just beginning to bloom.

    • 4

Open the bottom, open end of the sock with your fingers and fold it upward, over top of the rolled section of the sock. This keeps the roll secure.

    • 5

Slide the bottom of the rose over one of the stems.

    • 6

Make one more washcloth rose for each of the empty stems. Remove the silk flowers from another single bunch of silk flowers and repeat Steps 2 to 5 to make as many bunches of washcloth roses as you like.

    Flower Pot Blankets

    • 7

Fold two baby blankets in half.

    • 8

Fold the blankets in half again and then pile one on top of the other.

    • 9

Roll up the blankets to make a thick roll.

    • 10

Insert the roll into the flowerpot with the folded edge of the blankets facing upward.

    • 11

Slide the stems of the washcloth roses into the folds in the blankets.
