How to Have Enough Room for Exp. Share on "Pokemon LeafGreen"
In the “Pokemon” video games, the Experience Share item allows your team of Pokemon to donate its collective experience points to a single member. This allows you to power up low-level Pokemon and balance out your overall team. In “Pokemon LeafGreen,” you will find this item at the Route 15 gatehouse. However, to equip the item, your Pokemon must first relinquish any other held items.

Capture at least 50 species of Pokemon. If your collection is lacking, you should purchase a large amount of PokeBalls and obtain a Pokemon that knows the Hypnosis technique. Wild Pokemon that are under Hypnosis are easier to capture.

Travel to Fuchsia City in southern Kanto. Walk east from the city to enter the gatehouse leading to Route 15.

Ascend the stairs to reach the second floor of the gatehouse.

Talk to Professor Oak’s aide, who is standing near the center of the room. He will give you the Exp. Share item.

Go to the Pokemon status menu and highlight a Pokemon that you want to hold the Exp. Share. If that Pokemon is already holding an item, select the “Take” option to place the item back in your inventory.

Go to your inventory and highlight the Exp. Share item. Select the “Give” option and choose a Pokemon to hold the item.

Tips & Warnings
You can also approach the gatehouse from the west, but the journey will be lengthier. You’ll need to travel southwest from Vermilion City or Lavender Town until you reach the end of Route 15.
