How to Remove Lint From a Knit Shirt
Lint collects on knit clothing for a number of different reasons. Lint is deposited in your dryer, collected through regular wear or transferred from other items of clothing in your closet. Although lint in harmless to your health, it effects the way your garment looks when you are wearing it. Removing lint makes a run-down sweater or knit top look brand new again, especially if it has a dark color. There are a couple of inexpensive ways to quickly remove lint from knit clothing. Pantyhose Method

Cut the bottom of one leg off an old pair of pantyhose.

Lay your garment down on a flat surface.

Put your hand inside the leg of the pantyhose and pull it up until your hand is firmly in the foot of the leg, as if it is a mitten.

Rub the pantyhose on your hand against your lint covered garment in one direction. The texture of pantyhose and friction picks up and removes the lint and other things you would not mind having removed, such as dander, dust, and more.
Duct Tape Method

Unroll several inches of duct tape from the roll and cut it off.

Fold the duct tape around the widest part of your palm, sticky side up, sticking the two ends together.

Lay your garment on a flat surface and pat it with the duct tape. It works best if you use short, quick pats and pull up as you release the tape from the garment.

Tips & Warnings
Duct tape works well on wool, but might damage finer threads like silk and cashmere. For delicate garments, use masking tape instead of duct tape.
