Use roses of the same or all different colors to create this charming bouquet.

Making a bouquet from silk flowers is a wonderful idea for almost any occasion. Silk flowers won't wilt, change color, or die and can be kept for years to come. Create a rose bouquet from silk flowers for your home, for a friend or as a bridal bouquet. Any silk rose will work, and by adding simple baby's breath and silk ribbon, the bouquet will look professional and last a long time. Pearl pins are straight pins with a pearl as the pin head. Using them finishes the bouquet and adds elegance and charm.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut the baby's breath stems to be 14 inches long.

    • 2

Separate the roses into groups of two.

    • 3

Cut the stems of the first group of roses to be 12 inches long, the second to be 13 inches and the third to be 14 inches long. Hold the two longest roses in your hand with the heads of the roses facing opposite directions.

    • 4

Arrange the two middle roses on either side of the taller roses with the heads facing in two different directions. Arrange the two smallest roses on either side of the bouquet with the heads facing in different directions than the rest.

    • 5

Rotate the bouquet in your hand. You should be able to see a rose in every direction of the bouquet.

    • 6

Insert baby's breath in equal spaces in the bouquet between each of the rose heads. Wrap the ribbon around the stems of the bouquet, just underneath the shortest flower head. Wrap the ribbon in one complete rotation, hiding the edge of the ribbon.

    • 7

Continue to wrap the ribbon around the stems in a spiral, covering 1/4 inch of the previous spiral of ribbon with each new spiral. Wrap the ribbon to the bottom edge of the stems.

    • 8

Cut the ribbon, leaving a 2-inch tail.

    • 9

Bend back the ribbon 1 inch toward the inside of the bouquet. Use two pins to secure the ribbon edge to the bottom ribbon, 1/4 inch from the folded edge.

    • 10

Place the other four pins vertically, evenly spaced between the other pins and the top of the bouquet.
