Airbrushing On Glass

Airbrushed glass is used as a piece of decorative art in a home or business. These pieces of glass are often used to make glass tabletops and decorative plates. If you buy these from a gallery, they could be very expensive. When you airbrush your own glass, you can personalize it yourself. You don’t have to be an air student to airbrush your glass. You can do it yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Set up a work area in your garage or a driveway. Lay down a drop cloth so you don’t get paint all over.

    • 2

Put on a paint mask and gloves. Paint fumes can be harmful if inhaled.

    • 3

Put your glass on a table or on an easel. Tape off any areas that you don’t want to paint with painters tape.

    • 4

Fill your airbrush with the glass paint color of your choice. Hold the stencil over the area that you want to paint and spray the stencil with the glass paint.

    • 5

Change the paint color if you want. Hold the next stencil over the glass and spray it with the paint.

    • 6

Leave the glass overnight so the paint will dry. Seal the paint with an acrylic spray paint. Allow the paint to dry for 24 hours.
