How to Make an Eyeglass Case Without a Sewing Machine
Anyone who wears eyeglasses understands the importance of keeping them safe from scratches and other damage. Cases are available in all shapes and designs to protect your glasses, but you can make your own using a decorative pot holder and fabric glue. This simple craft requires no special skills with sewing or tailoring, and can be accomplished by anyone in only a few minutes.

1
Cut the hanging loop off of a square pot holder that measures at least six inches to a side. Thinner ones work a little better than thicker, quilted ones.
-
2
Place the pot holder on a table and apply a bead of fabric glue along the top edge and left edge.
-
-
3
Fold the pot holder in half to form the eyeglass case, with the glue holding the side and bottom closed. The top of the case is left open to allow you to insert a pair of glasses.
-
4
Clip several clothespins along the glued edges to hold them in place until the glue dries.
