How to Make Wedding Centerpieces With Manzanita Branches & Flowers
Create your wedding centerpieces out of manzanita branches and flowers for something different that can work for formal weddings or simple backyard receptions. The colors, flowers and decorative accessories you use should complement your personality and style as a couple, as well as the theme and colors of your wedding. The centerpieces can be tall and elaborate or medium-sized and natural, depending on the look you want to create.

1
Paint the manzanita branches a day or two before you plan to assemble your centerpieces, if you want colored branches. Common colors include metallic or glittery white, silver, pink and light blue. Leave the branches a natural dark brownish-red color if it suits you.
-
2
Select containers that are sturdy enough and have a wide enough opening — at least 5 inches across — to adequately hold a small bunch of manzanita branches. The container can be clear, match your wedding colors ,or be decorated with fabric or printed paper that complements your wedding. Plain terracotta pots or other flower pots will work as well.

3
Fill the container with a material that will hold the branches in place. Floral foam, river rocks, marbles and beads will all work. Use pebbles, rocks or moss to cover the foam after you've assembled the centerpieces if you're using floral foam.
-
4
Glue silk or paper flowers to the branches with hot glue. Create the design and pattern you want, using as many or as few flowers as you desire.
-
5
Add decorative items, such as strings of lights, butterflies, birds, ribbons, pearls, tinsel or strings of crystals to the branches. Secure the items with fishing line or clear rubber bands.
