Skateboarding is a popular sport that takes a lot of practice. Professional and amateur skateboarders often practice tricks on a skateboarding bench. Building your own bench can be done with everyday materials commonly found at home.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 aluminum moldings (approximately 4 feet long and 1 inch high)
  • Drill with 10 gauge drill bits
  • Hacksaw
  • 3-inch screws
  • Measuring tape
  • Liquid nail or other adhesive
  • Wood bench with 1 inch by 4-foot top plank

      Measure the aluminum molding and make marks every 6 inches.

      Drill holes into the molding where you made the marks.

    • 3

      Coat the edge of the bench in liquid nail. Attach the aluminum molding to the bench edge and hold it in place. Wait approximately 15 minutes for the liquid nail to dry.

      Drill the screws into the molding holes.

    • 5

      Saw off any excess molding that is longer than the bench.

    • 6

      Repeat all steps on the opposite side of the bench.

  • Double-check that the screws are in all the way before using the skateboarding bench.
