How to Crochet With Two Colors at Once
Crocheting can entail a variety of stitches, yarns and patterns to create special handmade items. Sometimes the yarn you use may have a variegated color that changes throughout the length of the yarn, creating a striking color design. Another way of creating color changes and variances or adding extra bulk to your crocheting is to crochet with two colors at once, creating beautiful crocheted work.
Instructions

1
Pull the strands of yarn out from each skein and place the two strands together matching the ends precisely.
-
2
Hold the yarn strands together as if they are one strand of yarn. Create a loop with the strands and pull the strands through the loop to make a slip knot.
-
-
3
Insert the crochet hook through the slipknot and tighten it slightly around the hook.
-
4
Create the number of chains required for the project. To chain, pull the loop through the crochet hook one time for each chain. Create each chain using both strands of yarn working as you would with one strand.
-
5
Follow the crochet pattern, working every crochet stitch using the same technique you would use to crochet with one strand. Continue crocheting until you finish the project.
-
6
Cut the strands off with the scissors leaving 4 inches of yarn tail for each strand. Pull the strands through the remaining loop on the crochet hook, pulling them all the way through. Tighten the yarn completely to secure the yarn.
-
7
Thread the yarn tails through the yarn needle, treating them as one strand. Insert the yarn needle through the crochet stitches to bury the tails. Clip off the ends of the yarn to finish.
