Instructions

    • 1

Wash your feet. Smelly feet will lead to smelly shoes, so make sure that you clean your feet each day. Use an antibacterial soap to kill the germs and don't forget to wash between your toes. Always dry your feet completely before putting on socks. You can also spray a foot deodorant on your feet as well.

Wear cotton socks. Cotton will allow your feet to breathe and absorb sweat, thus preventing odor. If your socks get damp, change into a clean pair if possible.

    • 3

Keep your shoes fresh by using baking soda. Find an old pair of socks and pour three tablespoons of baking soda into each sock. Tie the socks in a knot and place them in your basketball shoes each night after wearing them. The baking soda will neutralize any nasty odors.

Neutralize odors with cat litter. Use this every night after wearing your basketball shoes. Simply cut an old pair of pantyhose in half. Fill each leg with cat litter and tie it in a knot. Place the pantyhose inside your shoes for your own homemade odor eater.

Use fabric softener sheets to keep shoes smelling fresh. Simply place one sheet inside each shoe every night. Leave the sheets in the shoes overnight to eliminate lingering odors.
