How to Change the Password on an iPad Pocket Informant

Pocket Informant doesn't require a password for offline syncs.

Pocket Informant is a calendar and task-orientated productivity application for the Apple iPad developed by Web Information Solutions. The app offers a calendar and time-management system presented in the style of an appointment diary. Appointments are entered directly into Pocket Informant, which does not require a password to use. The app can also synchronize with the Google and Toodledo online calendar services, which you must log into using your account username and password before Pocket Informant can share data with them.

Instructions

1. Launch your computer's Web browser by clicking its icon on the desktop. Navigate to the online calendar service you want to sync Pocket Informant on the iPad with.

2. Click the "Sign In" link. Enter the username and password of your online calendar service's account. Click the "Sign In" button to continue.

3. Select the "Settings" link followed by the "Change Password" or "Edit" option, depending on your online calendar service. Enter your existing password if required, followed by your new password. Enter your new password a second time in the relevant box to confirm it. Click the "Save" button.

4. Launch Pocket Informant on your iPad by tapping its icon on the Home screen.

5. Tap the "Settings" tab on the right-hand side of the screen to open the Settings page.

6. Tap the "Sync Settings" button in the left-hand menu.

7. Tap the "+" button in the upper right corner to add a new online calendar you want Pocket Informant to sync with. If you already have an online calendar added and want to change its password, tap its button in the main "Sync Settings" window. A dialog box will appear for you to enter -- or edit -- your online account's credentials.

8. Type your online calendar service account's username and password in the relevant boxes. If you are editing an existing online account entry, tap the "Password" box and enter your new password. Tap the "Done" button in the upper right corner of the dialog box. Your Pocket Informant password has been changed.

Tips & Warnings

• Pocket Informant only requires passwords for any online accounts you want to sync it with.
