How to Clean Metal Shower Hooks

Although small, metal shower hooks add a stylish touch to bathrooms. Metal shower hooks are generally made of stainless steel because of its longevity and corrosion resistance. Like all shower surfaces, metal shower hooks inevitably become dirty. They typically accumulate mineral deposits from hard water exposure.

Dust also builds up on metal shower hooks, making them appear dingy. Regular cleaning of stainless steel shower hooks is necessary to maintain their overall freshness and appearance.

Substitute lemon juice for vinegar.

Abrasive cleaners will damage stainless steel shower hooks.

  1. Unfasten the metal shower hooks from the shower rod.

  2. Saturate a rag with water. Wipe each metal hook with the rag to eliminate dust buildup.

  3. Inspect the metal hooks for mineral deposits. If the hooks have a scaly, white buildup, dampen another rag with white vinegar.

  4. Wipe the stainless steel hooks with the vinegar-soaked rag. Remove all mineral stains from the hooks.

  5. Rinse the hooks under flowing water to flush off loose mineral buildup.

  6. Wipe each hook thoroughly using a dry towel. Replace the metal hooks on the shower rod.
