How to Bleach Levi Jeans
Blue jeans fade after several washes, but they never get as light as what they would if bleached. The tone to which you bleach the Levi jean determines how much of the chlorine you add. Using a small amount of bleach, looking at your pants and then adding more bleach if needed is more effective than adding lots of bleach and then realizing the pants are too light. The water temperature should be between 110 and 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Set the laundry machine to medium load so that it fills halfway. Turn the temperature knob to "warm."
-
2
Add 1/2 cup of bleach. Mix the bleach and water well.
-
-
3
Add the jeans once the machine is half full and close the lid. Ensure the water completely covers the jeans.
-
4
Spread out the jeans as much as possible before you leave them to wash. Wait for the washing machine to finish its cycle and remove the jeans.
-
5
Dab bleach solution with a sponge to any area that hasn't received enough bleach. You may have not added enough water prior to the washing cycle to evenly distribute the mixture to all areas of the pants.
-
6
Rinse the pants three times in the rinse cycle to get rid of all the bleach. Without thorough rinsing, the jeans may cause a rash.
