Explore the tall grass on Route 215 until you encounter Kadabra. Kadabra’s appearance rate is 15 percent in this area. It will be around level 20.

Weaken Kadabra with ghost, bug and dark type attacks, but don’t completely diminish its health.

Throw a PokeBall to capture the Kadabra.

Return to Veilstone City and enter the Pokemon Center on the east side of town. Go to the Union Room on the second floor.

Start another “Pokemon” game on a separate Nintendo DS. This second version of “Pokemon” can be a “SoulSilver,” “HeartGold,” “Diamond,” “Pearl” or “Platinum” game.

Travel to the nearest Pokemon Center and enter the Union Room. A trade link will open between “Pokemon Pearl” and the second “Pokemon” game.
