How to Change Rows With a Crochet Triple Stitch
A triple stitch, also known as a treble crochet, is a relatively simple stitch in crocheting that covers ground quickly and results in a loose, elaborate looking piece. By increasing or decreasing the treble crochet stitches, you can shape your piece into something other than a rectangle. If you can already do a chain, single crochet and double crochet, you will find the treble crochet very easy to learn.

1
Work treble crochets until the end of the row. To do one treble crochet, wrap the yarn over the hook twice and insert it in the stitch below from front to back. Wrap your yarn over the hook, and pull the yarn back through the stitch. Wrap the yarn over the hook again and pull it through the first two loops on the hook. Repeat twice, so that there is only one loop left on the hook.

2
Turn the piece around so that you are looking at the back side of it. Make a chain of four stitches -- this chain counts as the first treble crochet of the row.

3
Work a treble crochet in the second stitch of the new row, and in every stitch after.
