Homemade kazoos are perfect "pick-up and play" instruments for kids.

A kazoo is an instrument that uses the player's voice to create a musical buzzing sound. Playing the instrument is a simple matter of humming different syllables into the open end. Kazoos are appropriate instruments for children of any age because there are no moving parts, buttons to press or music to learn. It is also a quick and easy instrument to construct at home.
