Instructions

    • 1

Determine the length of the flip flops' straps using a table measure. Cut two pieces of grosgrain ribbon at this measurement. Choose a ribbon featuring a solid color or a whimsical design, such as hearts, stars or birds.

    • 2

Heat up a low-temperature glue gun. Apply a strip of glue to one strap. Line up the ribbon against the strap and press it down to create a secure hold. Repeat the process with the second strap.

    • 3

Decorate plain-colored ribbon straps with flat-backed beads. Hold the beads with tweezers and apply glue to the backs of them. Press the beads onto the ribbon-enhanced straps in any pattern you desire.

    • 4

Cut two 6-inch pieces of coordinating grosgrain ribbon. Tie the ribbons into bows at the location where the two straps meet in the front of the flip flops to complete the project.
