Some people don't make a habit of folding their T-shirts as they are for casual wear. However, the appearance of of a casual T-shirt can be greatly improved if it is free of wrinkles. Instead of tossing your T-shirts in a pile in a dresser or on the floor, you should fold them neatly. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

      Lay the T-shirt facing upward on a flat surface. The top of the T-shirt should be on your left side.

      Use one of your fingers to draw a vertical line down the stomach of the T-shirt. Because you are using your finger to draw the line, you will only leave a small crease where you drew it.

      Use your finger to draw another line horizontally from the shoulder of the T-shirt down to the hem. Draw it on the shoulder closest to you. The line should be about 2 inches from the edge of the T-shirt.

      Pinch the T-shirt with your right hand at the point where the two lines intersect. Then pinch the T-shirt with your left hand at the shoulder where the horizontal line begins.

      Cross your left hand under your right hand and use your left hand to grasp the hem of the shirt at the end of the horizontal line. Do not let go of the shoulder of the shirt when you grasp the hem.

      Lift the T-shirt off of the table and uncross your hands. Let the shirt hang directly in front of you and give it a slight shake to readjust the folds.

      Place the T-shirt facing downward on the flat surface, with the collar on your left side. Fold the part of the T-shirt that you are holding toward yourself. The body of the T-shirt should now be folded over the left sleeve.

Tips & Warnings

  • Fold T-shirts as soon as they come out of the dryer to prevent wrinkles.

  • Store the T-shirt in a drawer as soon as you finish folding it.
