Instructions

    • 1

Measure the width of the shirt from one side seam to the other.

    • 2

Cut strips of black tape that match the width of the shirt. Depending on the width of the tape, you may need fewer pieces of tape if you use black duct tape as opposed to black electrical tape.

    • 3

Stick the pieces of tape to the front of the shirt from one side seam to the other, creating horizontal stripes. Leave a couple of inches of the yellow shirt exposed in between each piece of black tape.

    • 4

Turn the shirt over and apply additional pieces of black tape. The stripes on the back should match the pattern of stripes on the front of the shirt. Avoid wrapping tape around the shirt because this will prevent the fabric from stretching, making the shirt difficult and uncomfortable to wear.

    • 5

Wrap the entire foam cone with black tape. You can also paint or spray paint the cone black if you run out of tape. Foam cones are sold in craft stores.

    • 6

Glue the base of the cone onto the back of the shirt, near the bottom seam. It should be in the center of the shirt. The cone is suppose to mimic a stinger.

Tips & Warnings

  • Create an antenna by sticking the ends of two black pipe cleaners into the center of two black painted foam balls. Glue or wrap on the opposite end of each pipe cleaner to a black headband.
