How to Make a Homemade Running Sled Out of Cardboard
Sledding is a popular winter activity for both children and adults. But even if you don't own a sled, there's no reason to take a trip to the store to buy one. A sled can be assembled using simple, everyday materials you can find in your own home. All you need is some cardboard, scissors, duct tape and a string or rope. So when the next snow day hits, don't worry about not having a sled. Simply make one in your own home.

1
Lay the cardboard down flat and cut it into a rectangle. Bend the front end up slightly.

2
Tape the bottom of your sled with duct tape. This is to increase it's sturdiness and provide traction when sledding.

3
Poke two holes in the front of your sled. Tie a string or rope through each hole, making a sled handle. Reinforce the holes with duct tape.
