Glue a ribbon loop over the hooks if they are too casual.

One of the simplest ways to decorate your home for every season is to use a variety of wreaths that reflect the natural conditions outside. For winter, an evergreen limb wreath is traditional, while cherry blossoms welcome the spring. Limbs of autumn leaves are ideal for fall, and those dotted with miniature citrus fruits say summer perfectly. Clearly, this easy project can be adapted in many ways so that you can create the perfect wreath for your own home. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Hold two wire hangers in your hand so they are aligned. Stretch out the bodies of the hangers and form them into circles with your free hand. Secure the hangers together with floral tape, slightly overlapping each layer as you wrap the tape around the metal circles.

    • 2

Trim the branches so they are all between 8 and 10 inches long. Pick up the first branch and lay it against the hanger circle, bending it slightly to follow the curve. Attach the branch to the circle at the top and bottom with 32-gauge floral wire.

    • 3

Place the next branch onto the hanger frame, overlapping it slightly onto one end of the first. Attach it with the floral wire just as you did the first branch. Continue covering the hanger wreath frame in branches using this process.

    • 4

Add decorations such as ribbon, bows or pinecones to your finished wreath using a hot glue gun. Let the glue dry completely. Hang your wreath using the hanger hooks at the top.
