If you download a movie or television show using Apple TV, you need to set up a home share network to watch it on your MacBook. You can set up a home share network between all of your Apple devices and watch content through iTunes on each device.

      Enter the information for your wireless network on the Apple TV main screen. Open iTunes on Apple TV.

      Turn on your MacBook and log into the same wireless network that Apple TV is on. Open iTunes on your computer.

      Click "Advanced" in iTunes on your MacBook. Click "Turn on Home Sharing" in the drop-down menu.

      Type in your iTunes account username and password on each device.

      Select "Create Home Share." When the home share network is created, it will appear in the left sidebar in iTunes. Click on the "Home Share" option in iTunes.

      Click on the Apple TV content you want to watch. Press "Play."
