How to Run Vim on Android
Vim is a Linux text editing program normally used in desktop and server environments. Android, being a Linux-based smartphone software program, has the capability of running Vim, if you have a Terminal emulator software program installed on the smartphone. You can install one of these programs for free from the Android Market; there are many different options from which to choose.

Open the terminal emulator you have installed on your Android.

Type "apt-get install vim" and press "Done" or "Enter" on your Android.

Wait one to two minutes for the install to complete.

Type "vim" and press "Done" or "Enter" to launch the program.

Open the "Market" app on your Android device and perform a program search for "terminal" to find and install a terminal emulator.
