How to Flip on "Rapala Fishing" on a PS3
In "Rapala Pro Bass Fishing" for the PS3, the act of flipping refers to landing a fish by flipping it into the boat, not the casting technique. There are two trophies connected to flipping. You get the Flying Fish trophy the first time you successfully execute a flip, and the Flap Jack trophy for executing the move successfully 20 times. You can flip any fish less than approximately 6.5 pounds, and all species of fish count toward earning the two trophies.

Tips & Warnings
You must place third or better in the Walleye Triumph tournament level in Rookie mode to unlock the flip technique; it's the first level in the game.
If you bring the fish within 3 feet of your boat, your character automatically picks up the fish and you won't get the opportunity to flip the fish into the boat.
