How to Make a Simple Fleece Pillow
Throw pillows add cushion and comfort to sofas, chairs and beds, but they can also add a colorful and textured design element to a room. Fleece pillows have a plush look and feel that makes them perfect for children's rooms and nurseries. Homemade fleece pillows are less expensive and easier to customize than purchases pillows. Cut out two pieces of fleece that are each 20 inches square.

Cut out a three-inch square from each corner of the pieces of fabric, using a ruler as a guide.

Cut three-inch deep slits all along each of the edges of the fabric, spacing them about one inch apart.

Put the first piece of fabric face down on a table. Lay the pillow form directly on top of it, followed by the second piece of fleece, face up.

Tie the slits of fabric together, using a basic double knot, around the pillow form on all edges. Tie the slits of the top fabric piece to the slits of the bottom fabric piece to bring them together.

Tips & Warnings
You may use a bigger or differently shaped pillow form, but the size and shape of the fleece pieces must be adjusted accordingly. The fabric pieces should be six inches wider and six inches longer than the pillow form.
