How to End a Finger Weaving Scarf
Scarves are one of the most basic finger weaving projects, making them ideal for beginners. A scarf's straight design means you don’t have to tangle with armholes, foot sizes or any of the other hazards of more complex projects. Still, knowing how to end a scarf once you’ve started is a valuable technique. Before you get too tied up, it’s best to know how to end a finger weaving scarf.

1
Weave the finger scarf until you have reached the point where you feel it is long enough and wish to end it. Leave a tail of yarn approximately 10 inches long at the end. Push the end of the yarn through the loop that is nearest to the end of the scarf.
-
2
Cast off your work by lifting a loop off of a finger and pushing the yarn tail through the center of the loop. Repeat this process until all of the loops have been removed from your fingers and the yarn tail has been pushed through each center.

3
Pull gently on the tail to adjust the tension. Avoid pulling the yarn too tightly to avoid having the scarf come to a point at the end.
-
4
Tie a knot at the last loop with the tail of yarn.
-
5
Weave the yarn tails from both the top and the bottom of the scarf back through your weaving to hide the tails.

Tips & Warnings
Use finger weaving to make matching bracelets by following the same method you used to make the scarf. Tie the ends of the bracelet together in a knot.
Headbands can also be finger woven; simply tie the ends together.
Tie a pom-pom to each end of the scarf if you like. Purchase pom-poms at craft supply stores, or make them by tying short lengths of yarn together in the center and fluffing out the strands.
