How to Recover Scores in "Angry Birds"

"Angry Birds" is a puzzle game released for multiple platforms in late 2009. In 2011, Rovio Mobile released version 1.6.0, which affected the iOS version with a loading bug that deleted the scores and other data from players' devices. You can recover your "Angry Birds" scores if you have an iOS backup from which you can restore. This requires your USB cable and iTunes.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect your iOS device to your computer using its USB cable.

    • 2

Open iTunes if it is not automatically set to open.

    • 3

Slide your finger across your device to cancel syncing if automatically set to sync.

    • 4

Right-click your device when it appears in the left-hand sidebar menu. A menu will appear.

    • 5

Click "Restore From Backup," followed by the backup you wish to restore. Wait for the device to be restored from the selected backup. This may take several minutes depending on the number of apps you have. When the backup completes, your "Angry Birds" scores will return.

Update "Angry Birds" from the App Store. Rovio Mobile has since fixed the bug, so you can update the game without fear of losing your scores again.
