If you get the free edition of this application, you will get regular pop-up windows notifying you to upgrade to the paid version. You can disable these pop-up windows by restricting the process that Avira uses to display these pop-ups.

Click the circular "Start" button, type "Group Policy" (without quotes) and press "Enter."

Double-click the "Administrative Templates" option under the "User Configuration" section.

Click the option labeled "System."

Right-click the option labeled "Don't Run Specified Windows Applications" on the right-side of the Group Policy Editor window. Next, select "Edit."

Click the radio button next to "Enabled."

Type "avnotify.exe" into the vacant field under "Value" and click "OK."
