How to Hide Offline Buddies on AIM for a Mac
By default, the instant-messenger program AIM displays contacts who are currently offline in a separate group at the end of your list of contacts, but it may also be set to display offline contacts throughout the list, sorted into the groups they'd be in normally. You can use AIM's View menu to remove offline contacts from your list entirely.
