How to Make a Bracelet out of a Shoestring
Making a bracelet out of a shoestring is an easy craft project when working with children. It does not require any special tools and it is a fun way to incorporate lessons involving counting, measuring and colors. It is also a useful way to teach about the importance of recycling by using old shoestrings, vintage beads and buttons. You can use alphabet beads to spell out a name or sentiment. The shoestring bracelet can be given as a gift or traded between friends.

Measure around your wrist with the measuring tape. Lay out your bead design on your work surface according to the measurement.

Trim off the excess from the end of the string at the knot. Leave the long part of the string for adding beads.

Take the beads from your work surface and slide them onto the string. Tie a knot after the last bead.
