How to Make "Despicable Me" Eggs
"Despicable Me" is an animated movie that focuses on a supervillain attempting to take over the world. He has a group of small creatures called "minions" that do his bidding. These egg-shaped minions are easy to make by using kindercraft eggs from your local craft shop. Make a whole army of minions for the "Despicable Me" super fan in your family. Use this craft as a family craft activity to get everyone involved.
Things You'll Need
- Kindercraft eggs
- Rubber band
- Black marker
- Googly eyes
- Blue craft paint
- Paint brushes

Wrap your rubber band around your kinder egg about one third of the way from the top. Color the rubber band with a black marker, like the band of the minions' glasses.

Take the sticky paper off the back of your googly eyes and stick them onto the rubber band. Space them apart evenly to create eyes. Let them sit for a moment to let the sticky paper dry.

Put blue paint on your paint brush and paint the blue overalls of the minion. Paint a blue square in the front and a strap that goes around the back at the top and bottom. Let the paint dry for an hour before continuing.

Apply several paint coats to give the overalls a nice thick sheen. Let each coat dry an hour before proceeding to apply the next coat.

Draw a small mouth with black marker about a third of the way down from the eyes. Make a few hair strands at the top with the marker as well as small arms on the side of the egg.
