How to Extract Vocals & Instrumental on Garageband

GarageBand is a music recording software package for Apple computers. This software allows people to record different tracks independently. This means that you can have vocals on one track and instrumentals on another track. If you would like to extract the vocals from your GarageBand mix, you can do it with just a few clicks of the mouse. You don’t have to be a music producer to extract tracks on your software. You can do it yourself with little hassle.

      Load the GarageBand software from your desktop’s Finder or your “Applications” folder.

      Click the “File” icon and then click “Open.” Click on the file that contains your vocals or instrumentals.

      Highlight the vocals or instrumentals via the track listings. Press the “Control” and “X” button to cut the track out of the mix.

      Press the “Control” and “N” keys together to bring up a new mix. Click on the track that you want to paste the vocals or instrumental into.

      Press the “Control” and “V” button together to paste the track into the new mix.
