How to Oil a Pneumatic Stapler
A pneumatic stapler is a power tool that operates using compressed air. A hose is attached to the stapler, which is connected to an air supply such as a compressor. A pneumatic stapler can handle many types of household projects or heavy-duty construction work. However, this highly pressurized tool has several components that will deteriorate after continued use, rendering it inoperable, unless it is properly maintained. Wipe down the pneumatic stapler after use with the clean cloth.

Add two to three drops of the 5- or 10-weight pneumatic tool oil in the air fitting on the stapler. The air fitting is at the bottom of the tool, below the handle, where the air hose attaches.

Run the stapler three to five times, without staples, so the oil travels to the inner parts. You will need to connect the stapler to the air source with the hose to do this.

Tips & Warnings
Use oil labeled "pneumatic tool oil" if the weight of the oil isn't specified on the bottle.
Only a few drops of oil are necessary. Over-oiling can be just as harmful as not oiling.
Make sure the label on the bottle is designated for pneumatic tools. Don't use another type of oil.
Lubricate just the air fitting. The other areas of the stapler must remain oil-free.
Wear eye protection when handling power tools.
