      Purchase oil of oregano at a local health food or grocery store. Be sure to purchase a bottle large enough to allow for multiple uses (larger than 1 oz.) and one with a high concentration of carvacrol, preferably more than 80 percent. Also purchase a plastic spray bottle in the home and garden section of a local supply store. Make sure that one side of the plastic bottle displays measurement markings in milliliters (mL).

      Fill the spray bottle with approximately 500mL of water. Add 10 drops of oregano oil to the water. Tighten the cap and shake the bottle vigorously.

      Spray on and around the affected areas and plants. If problems persist, increase the ratio of oregano oil to water in the repellent mixture.
