Instructions

    • 1

Join your yarn to your crochet hook with a slip stitch. Do this by making a loop at the tail of your yarn and pull a further loop through the original loop, slip it onto the hook and pull it taught.

    • 2

Crochet 31 chain stitches. Bring the yarn from the back of the hook to the front of the hook and pull it through the loop on the hook to make a chain stitch.

    • 3

Crochet your foundation row. Use double crochet stitches and start by crocheting a double crochet in the second chain from the hook. A double crochet stitch is made as follows: Bring the yarn from the back to the front of the hook and insert the hook into the chain, pulling yarn through the chain so there are three loops on the hook. Bring the yarn back over the hook from the back to the front and through two loops on the hook. Bringing the yarn over the hook again and pull it through the two remaining loops on the hook.

    • 4

Work a double crochet stitch into each chain to the end of the row and turn the piece to start the second row.

    • 5

Continue working double crochet stitch rows until the rectangle measures 20 inches in length.

    • 6

Twist your rectangle 180 degrees, so the underside is now the top side.

    • 7

Pick up the other end of the rectangle and work a double crochet into each stitch on the foundation row to join both ends of the rectangle together.

    • 8

Cut the yarn, leaving a tail 5 inches in length. Thread this through a darning needle and sew a few stitches to fasten the yarn in place. Trim off the excess yarn tail. The mobius neck warmer is ready to wear.
