How to Crochet a Pouch
Multiple methods exist to create a crochet pouch. One of the easiest ways is to create a single crocheted piece starting with a chain stitch. A carrying loop or strap is added after the piece is finished. Use specialty yarns like fun-fur to create a pouch that reflects your personality.

Working in the front of each single crochet stitch, single crochet in each single stitch. Single crochet in the front of each of the previous single crochet stitches. Repeat the single crochet rows until you have built up a "wall" measuring 8 inches tall. Fasten off the yarn and weave in the ends.

5
Attach the yarn to the crochet hook with a slip knot. Chain 200 and fasten off. Weave the loose ends through the chain stitching. Fold the chain in half.

6
Use a crochet hook to pull the folded end of the chain through the top row of stitching on the pouch. When you get back to where you started, pull the folded end out far enough to allow for the loose ends of the chain to be pulled through. Tie the loose ends together. This is the drawstring to the pouch.
