How to Make Wrestling Wristbands
Making a wrestling wristband is a creative way to express your passion for the sport. While purchasing a wristband outright requires time and money you may not have, crafting your own gear reduces the price and puts you in the creative driver's seat. Fashioning a wristband from whatever color terry cloth material you like adds to the innovation of your fashion statement. Wear your wristband when watching your favorite wrestler or acting out scenarios at home.

1
Measure the circumference of your wrist. Add 2 inches to the initial measurement to ensure the band slides on and off without hassle. For example, if your wrist measures 6 inches, add 2 inches to equal 8 inches in total.
-
2
Draw a 6-inch-by-8-inch rectangle with standard chalk onto a piece of terry cloth. Cut out the rectangle along the trace lines with fabric scissors. The body of the wristband is now cut.

3
Fold the wristband in half -- so the dull sides of the terry cloth face inward -- to form a 3-inch-by-8-inch dimension. Sew the long unconnected edges of the band together with a cross stitch pattern. The band now has one pocket at each end.
-
4
Tuck one end of the band 1/4-inch into the opposite end pocket. Sew the ends together with a zigzag pattern.
-
5
Paint a design onto the wristband with acrylic paint, if you wish. Allow two hours for the band to dry before handling or wearing it.
