How to Disassemble a Kohler Avatar Kitchen Single Valve Faucet
The Kohler Avatar single valve kitchen faucet has many different parts including a handle set on the front and center portion of the faucet base. Even though the faucet has a modern look, it is not difficult to disassemble. Removing just one screw starts the entire process. If you have some basic home repair skills, disassembling the entire faucet will likely take under an hour and it only requires the most basic of tools. Does this Spark an idea?

Turn off your water by closing both water pipe valves under the sink.

Pry out the cap on the base of the handle with a screwdriver and then unscrew the screw under this cap with an Allen wrench. Pop the handle off the base of the faucet.

Unscrew the bonnet, the round nut under the handle. Unscrew the limit stop with a screwdriver and remove this part. Lift out the valve and the round rubber gaskets under it.

Take out the body inside the faucet and unscrew the nut under the body.

Unscrew the locking nuts underneath the faucet on the underside of your counter with a basin wrench. Disconnect the supply tubes from the base of the faucet with a wrench or pliers and lift the faucet out of the counter.

Unscrew the screw at the back of the spout with an Allen wrench and pull the spout off the faucet base. Remove the shaft inside of the faucet base by pulling it out of the base.
