How to Decorate Church Doors With Flowers

1
Place flowers so that they can be viewed easily as guests enter the church. In addition to placing flowers directly on the church's door, arrange flowers along the walkway outside of the entrance of the church doors and along the walkway inside of the doors.

2
Arrange flowers in the shapes of wreaths and mix with long-lasting greens such as baby's breath and ferns. Hold the wreath together with floral wire in a shade of dark green. Easily hide water vials attached to the flowers in the wreath among the greens. Keep the arrangement moist by spraying it periodically with a water bottle. Avoid placement in direct sunlight when attaching to a door.

Hang small wooden or metal planter boxes that are available at floral supply stores and craft stores on the doors and arrange flowers inside them. Before adding flowers, fill the bottom of the containers with floral foam and soak the foam. The foam will keep the flowers moist and fresh as long as the foam is wet.

Choose flowers such as the sunflower, stock, magnolia, tulip, calla lily, rose and orchid to symbolize beauty and a love for nature. The rose is the most popular wedding flower based on the fact that roses are readily available and often less expensive than other flowers. If you are using roses, cut their stems at an angle to help them absorb water more easily.
