How to Move Music From an iPod to Rhythmbox
Rhythmbox is a audio management program designed for GNOME-based Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu. The program supports Apple iPod and iOS devices, including the iPod Touch, out of the box. Using Rhythmbox, you can move music between your iPod and the Rhythmbox application just by dragging and dropping the files from the iPod to the Rhythmbox library.

Connect the iPod to your computer using the appropriate USB cable.

Click "Applications" and select "Sound & Video," then "Rhythmbox Music Player."

Select the iPod from the "Devices" section in the left sidebar.

Select the music you want to move to Rhythmbox.

Drag it from the iPod pane to "Music" in the "Library" section of the left sidebar. The music will be transferred to your computer and saved to your default music directory.
