How to Make Grungy Candles That Look Like Cupcakes

If you have lots of partially burned candles, you can recycle them into fresh new candles. Simply use bakers' silicon or disposable aluminum cupcake forms or tinfoil cupcake to make cute cake-shaped grungy candles. These make inexpensive gifts for your environmentally conscious friends and can be sold at fundraising events.

Things You'll Need

• Candle leftovers
• Knife
• Plastic jug
• Bakers' cupcake forms
• Wick

Instructions

1. Cut leftover candles of similar colors into small pieces, removing any wick pieces.

2. Place the pieces in a plastic jug and microwave them until they have melted.

3. Fill the silicone cupcake forms with the wax and add a wick to each one. Allow the wax to set.

4. Melt wax of a different color and drizzle it over the cupcake as though you were frosting it.

5. Allow the wax to set completely before removing the wax cupcake from the form.

Tips & Warnings

• Place candles in the refrigerator to speed the setting process, if you are in a hurry.
