How to Create a Fan Page on Facebook for a Photographer thumbnail
Facebook pages are free to start and manage.

If you are a photographer interested in using social media to garner more clients, a Facebook page is a good start. After your page is created, use the space to create albums of your photographs, link to your website and communicate with potential clients via the wall. You must be the photographer herself, or have direct permission from the photographer, to start a Facebook page for photography services.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign into your Facebook account and type the word "Pages" into the search bar at the top of your screen. Scroll down to the "Facebook" group of search results and click "Facebook Pages."

    • 2

Click the light gray "Create Page" button in the top right corner of the "Pages" menu screen.

    • 3

Click on the "Local Business or Place" icon. Use the "Choose a Category" menu to choose a category for your new page. For a photographer, "Professional Services" is the most appropriate category.

    • 4

Enter an address for your photography business in the fields provided. If you don't have a store front, use your home address, or the address where your business mail is sent.

    • 5

Check the box next to "I Agree to Facebook Pages Terms" and then "Get Started." Click on the "Get Started" tab of your new page to invite people to join, import contacts and add a profile photo. Click on the "Edit Info" link at the top of your page to fill out the full description for your page, as well as a price range for your photography services. Click "Save Changes" to add the new information to your page.
