How to Make a Dog Bone Craft
Display a dog bone craft in your home and tell visitors that you are a dog lover. A wreath with dog bones surrounding a circular piece of foam is an interesting and unusual way to demonstrate how important your pet is to you. Asking your children to help with the project will teach them to value the animals, and they will enjoy being part of the project.
Things You'll Need
- 12-inch polystyrene foam wreath
- Tacky glue
- Spanish moss
- Glitter
- Paper plate
- 20 medium-size dog bones
- Wide ribbon

Apply a thick layer of tacky glue to one side of a polystyrene foam wreath. Use a wooden craft stick to spread the glue out so it covers the entire side of the wreath.

Apply Spanish moss to the tacky glue and press it down so it adheres well. Cover the whole wreath so there are no white spots showing. Allow the wreath to dry for 2 hours.

Pour glitter onto a paper plate. Put dots of tacky glue on dog bones in a polka dot style around one side of the bone.

Turn the bone upside down and press it into the glitter. Pick it up and shake off the excess glitter. Allow it to dry for 2 hours.

Apply a large dollop of tacky glue to the back of the dog bone. Press the dog bone onto the Spanish moss. Repeat for as the remainder of the bones, spacing them out evenly apart around the wreath.

Tie a bow with about 24 inches of wide ribbon. Cut a "V" shape on tails of the ribbon then glue the ribbon onto the Spanish moss at the top, allowing the tails to hang down in the middle of the wreath.
