Beaded bracelets can be constucted in different ways for different looks.

Adding an extra band to your homemade beaded bracelets adds weight, interest and an extra opportunity for bead color or shape variations. By using a slightly modified, but similar technique as when you create single-band bracelet, you can create a double-band bracelet with the same materials.

Things You'll Need

  • Monofilament line
  • Scissors

Instructions

    • 1

Cut two strands of monofilament line 1 inch longer than the length required to wrap once around your wrist.

    • 2

Knot one end of each piece to the same loop on one end of a barrel clasp.

    • 3

Add beads to the open end of each strand until only 1/2 inch of line remains uncovered. Alternate colors and bead styles on each strand to create a double-banded pattern or use the same color on both strands for a wrap-around look.

    • 4

Knot the open ends of the strands to the loop on the other side of the barrel clasp.

    • 5

Add a dot of rubber cement over the knots on each side of the barrel clasp and cut away the excess line that protrudes from the knot.

    • 6

Twist the barrel clasp to open and secure the bracelet around your wrist.
