How to Convert an Omni Form File

Omni Form is an open source form creation and editing application that enables you to quickly create fillable forms. Omni Form saves forms in its native "OFM" file type. You can convert an OFM file to another file type, such as Microsoft Word, using the Omni Form application. Download a free copy of Omni Form from the CNET or Brothersoft shareware download site and install the program to your computer.

      Right-click on the Omni Form document and select "Open With." A list of installed programs opens. Click the “Omni Form” icon. The form opens in the Omni Form application.

      Click the “File” option on the top navigation bar and select “Save As.” The File Save box opens. Type a name for the new file into the “File Name” input box. Click the “Folder” icon and go to a location where you want to save the converted file.

      Click the “File Type” drop-down box and select the desired file type to convert to. For example, click the “Microsoft Word (*.doc)” option to save the form as a Word document.

      Click the “Save” button. The form file is converted to the selected file format.
