Sewing a Bra Into the Tank Top for Busty Women
Bust support is an important and enduring aspect of life as a female. A properly supported bust will ensure you avoid the sagging and back pain that can be associated with a large, unsupported bust and maintain the youthful aesthetic of your bust for as long as you can. Because sport can be a particularly difficult challenge for a woman with a large bust, some people choose to add support to their sports tops in the form of a bra or a sports bra. You can purchase your own supportive bra and sew it into your tank top at home with a few basic sewing materials.

1
Visit your local lingerie retailer and purchase a bra in your size. Choose a color and style that will fit comfortably underneath your tank top.
-
2
Put the bra on and adjust it so it sits comfortably. Put your tank top on over the top and position it so the bra cannot be seen underneath.
-
-
3
Pin the bra to the tank top where the shoulder strap meets the cup on each side with a sewing pin. Undo the bra and carefully remove the tank top and the bra together.
-
4
Turn the tank top inside out and lie it on a flat surface in front of you.
-
5
Pin the outside edges of each bra cup to the tank top with sewing pins.
-
6
Sew along the outside edges of each bra cup with your sewing machine. Sew slowly and remove the pins as you go. Avoiding the shoulder straps and the back strap will allow the bra to be adjusted for greater support after sewing.
-
7
Turn the tank top right side out and try it on.
